2010 Innovative Communities Conference

On May 13, 2010 the first Innovative Communities Conference was held at Calvary Chapel in Chino Hills Califoria. The conference dealt with issues related to alcohol policy. It was attended by community leaders, law enforcement, city planners, and non-profit partners and providers. The conference was sponsored by the Ontario Police Department, Reach Out and the Westend Gangs & Task Force.

The conference dealt with issues related to social hosting, alcohol zoning and regulation, along with task force operations utiltizing different city and state departments.

Speakers at the conference were made up of local and state law enforcement, code enforcement, city attorneys, planning directors, city council representatives, and non-profit drug free providers.

The results were so outstanding that this began the start of future conferences that would not only deal with alcohol, but healthy communites throughout the region and state. This would eventually grow to become a national conference we have today.
